Career Diversity Bureaucrat

Mr. Jones is a twenty-eight-year veteran of diversity positions at the National Institutes of Health.

In his own words, Mr. Jones describes his professional work as follows:

Serve as the Senior Advisor to the NIH Clinical Center on matters related to Diversity Management and Minority Health Disparity issues. Successfully lead Clinical Research Summer Program totaling in excess of 300 students so far, with 24%underrepresented Minority College and Medical Students.

Recognized because of my Operational background, as a subject matter expert on Diversity Management and Inclusion across all of the NIH Institutes, and am trusted to bring the right people into the NIH environment who can thrive in such a complex, research organization.

Lead external outreach to Medical Schools and Professional Organizations such as the National Medical Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges to collaborate on maximizing the use of the resources available at the NIH
.
Leading an effort currently to work with Historically Black Colleges and Universities to increase awareness of NIH training opportunities for both faculty and students.

Sought after to serve as a mentor to countless minority Medical and Pre-Med students nationwide

This self-description reveals a worldview that is out of place in the current administration.

In addition, Mr. Jones’ work with HBCU’s could indicate a predisposition towards diversity quotas.
