A power point from Dr. Shannon Hughes’ workshop for new NCI grantees details the many woke ways NCI mixes DEI into each layer of the agency.

The very first slide is an apology for the racism within NIH from the director.

Then Dr. Hughes’ goes on to highlight the Equity & Inclusion Program’s working groups to address the lack of diversity and equity in NCI’s research.

She then highlights grant opportunities to promote workforce diversity in cancer research, select pay for grant applicants with diversity, and other funding initiatives that have nothing to do with actual expertise in cancer research.
