Just a short 5 months ago, Shelby Guillen was “thrilled to announce” that she was the Diversity Program Specialist at HHS. Fast forward to the week President Trump enforced an executive order eliminating DEI offices in the government, now she’s changed her title so it makes no mention of “diversity.”

Shelby Guillen had a “full circle moment” as she spoke at her alma mater, Cal Poly about the partnership between the school system and HHS to increase equity and access in the federal workforce. In her remarks, Ms. Guillen called the partnership a “lifeline to future leaders, innovators, and change makers.” Unfortunately, that lifeline excludes certain races.
