Creating a “Safe Zone” for Wokeness

At NIH, employees are encouraged to attend Safe Zonetraining, conducted by Dr. Danny Dickerson, NIH’s Director of Diversity and Inclusion.

According to the training website, the 3-hour program is “designed to improve understanding and help everyone at the NIH accept fellow employees as they are and as they want to be identified.” After you become a team member, you can show your support by putting Safe Zone stickers and posters outside of your office so you “promote an atmosphere of openness and safety at the NIH.”

This radical program has no business in a federal agency. Safe Zone’s like those promoted and implemented by Dr. Dickerson ultimately become speech police zones creating an atmosphere that is hostile to open exchange of ideas and one that ultimately is used to target conservatives.  Put simply, the taxpayer needs to be marked safe from Dr. Dickerson’s training.

BACKGROUND: “Safe Zone seeks to promote NIH community awareness and education about the needs and concerns of people who identify as Sexual and Gender Minorities, represented by the acronym SGM. We encourage everyone to show support for—and actively affirm—colleagues and friends who are SGM. These individuals include lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, Two Spirit, gender non-conforming people, and other populations whose sexual orientation and/or gender identity, and reproductive development is considered outside cultural, societal, or physiological norms.”

Imagine being so bought into your “inclusive” agenda that a commercial is offensive if not adequately diverse.

Danny Dickerson, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at NIH, can’t manage to relax while watching T.V. at home.  “I can't look at a simple commercial without trying to look at the diversity. It drives my wife crazy.”

In a world where movies are subject to the Bechdel test—whether two women appear on screen together without talking about a man(FYI, Oppenheimer failed)—it shouldn’t surprise anyone that commercials must also live up to the ridiculous woke standards. What should be surprising is that someone that believes this in charge in our federal government.
